The Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia was thrilling. Max Verstappen was in the lead for a long time, but in the end it was Lewis Hamilton who took the victory. It caused a lot of stress for Toto Wolff, he admits in conversation with Ziggo Sport.
The Mercedes team boss was under a lot of pressure last weekend. Hamilton struggled against Verstappen and had to work hard to pass his rival. When the seven-times world champion hit the back of the Dutchman's car, Wolff showed his anger by throwing his headphones away.
In the interview, he looks back on the incident. "It wasn't my best moment," Wolff admits. "But it was the moment I really saw the title go up in smoke. Lewis hit Max and his front wing seemed to be broken. Then the title would have been gone. Hence my strong emotions. I destroyed my Bose. Nice sound, but it's not robust enough."
