Toto Wolff reveals at Autosport.com that Mercedes are 'slowly but surely' on their way to victories in 2022. The German brand's W13 is still being worked on and improvements are starting to come.
Wolff is upbeat in Austria. Although Lewis Hamilton and George Russell both crashed on Friday, the Austrian says the W13 is getting faster. At Silverstone, Mercedes had the fastest car, Wolff says after looking at the data.

No wins yet in Austria

We should not expect a win in Austria yet, at least not from Russell. According to Wolff the rear wing is too big on the Briton's car. During Friday's qualifying session he hit the tyre pile with his rear end and had to revert to an older specification of the wing.
Later in the season, Wolff hopes to be able to compete for wins and says that is the goal for 2022. According to the Austrian, the pieces of the puzzle are 'slowly but surely' coming together.
