The Hungarian Grand Prix weekend is not expected to pose any major weather concerns, with hot and sunny conditions forecast across all three days. However, recent history has shown that the weather at the Hungaroring can change at a moment's notice. The Hungarian Grand Prix has produced plenty of memorable weather-affected races over the years, with some editions heavily disrupted by torrential rain while others have been run in scorching sunshine. One of the most unforgettable came in 2021, when a heavy downpour just before the start turned the race on its head and ultimately paved the way for Esteban Ocon to claim the first - and so far only -
Formula 1 victory of his career.
Friday is expected to be dry at the Hungaroring, with a 4% chance of rain, according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures will reach a high of 24°C, while conditions are forecast to be mainly sunny, with only a few clouds expected during the afternoon. A north-northwesterly wind of 15 to 30 km/h is also forecast throughout the day.
Saturday will see temperatures rise, with a high of 28°C forecast. Conditions are expected to remain generally sunny, although a few afternoon clouds are possible. The chance of rain drops further to just 2%, while southwesterly winds of 10 to 15 km/h are expected throughout the day.
As for Sunday, race day, temperatures are expected to climb further, with a high of 31°C forecast. Conditions will be hot, with a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. The chance of rain increases slightly to 13%, while southerly winds of 15 to 30 km/h are expected.
