Fernando Alonso is making the move to Aston Martin this winter. While he showed at Alpine that he still has a high level of ability, at the British formation it remains to be seen whether he has the same drive for the time being. Flavio Briatore does not doubt that for a moment, he told DAZN.
With the Spaniard, Aston Martin brings in a driver with a lot of experience at the highest level. However, the two-time world champion is already 41 years old, so the end of his career is imminent. It could cause Alonso's sharpness to fade and performance to drop.

Alonso should help Aston Martin

Briatore, however, expects the successor to the discontinued Sebastian Vettel to succeed at Aston Martin. The Italian businessman, who witnessed Alonso's prime years up close, knows that the driver will not give up easily and therefore brings a lot of energy to his new team.
"Fernando is a rottweiler at Aston Martin, no problem. He will have two great seasons," Briatore stressed. The businessman also states that he continues to love Formula 1 and that the racing year will therefore be a great success next season as well.
