Brendon Hartley has crashed his Toro Rosso hard in FP3 in the early Saturday afternoon in Spain, and had his entire rear fall off when the crane picked the car up after the crash, meaning that the Kiwi is unlikely to participate in qualifying.
As you can see in the video, Hartley goes a little too wide before steering into a corner, touching the grass and therefore losing all grip when steering in, crashing his Toro Rosso into the barrier after sliding through some gravel.
When the car got picked up by the crane to carry it to safety, even more bad things happened for the Faenza-based team. The entire rear of the Toro Rosso just falls off out of nowhere, leaving a lot of question marks about when the car will be fixed, and íf it will be fixed. We think it's safe to say that the Kiwi is missing qualifying and will have to start from the back or from the pit lane.
Wow, de achterkant van Hartley valt er gewoon af bij het wegtakelen na zijn harde crash. Die gaat de kwalificatie missen #F1 pic.twitter.com/rkO5MCVjLB
