Ferrari has now confirmed Maurizio Arrivabene is no longer a member of Scuderia. The former team principal is replaced by Mattia Binotto after what was a troubling season against rivals Mercedes.
It is understood there were strong tensions between Binotto and Arrivabene lasting the duration of the 2018 season and into the current winter break. Team errors were frequent in both 2017 and 2018, hampering their chances of ending Mercedes run of titles.
Binotto has been part of the Red team through two decades. It was clear Ferrari's power unit had improved early in 2018, and most of this was put down to him. The Italian's role since 2015 has been power unit Cheif Operating Officer.
Was Ferrari right to ditch Arrivabene? What's your opinion? Vote in the poll below!
