Sebastian Vettel is 'very happy' for Valtteri Bottas after the Finn picked up his first race victory in over a year. Bottas dominated the Australian Grand Prix from the start after getting away from Lewis Hamilton and led the race from then on. Vettel has recognised the tricky season that Bottas had last year and is glad that the Finn picked up the ring.
Vettel had a mediocre weekend with many expecting Ferrari to have done better. However, it seems that the former world champion is not too upset as he praised Bottas for picking up the win.
"I like him. I’m very happy for him," Vettel said to GPToday.net. "He’s a very decent guy. I don’t think he’s any different, I think he always had the speed.
"Last year didn’t go well for him for many reasons but I was very happy to see when I was told that he won the race.
“Obviously he was far away, straightaway, far away from us, which is not good news for us. But he’s a nice chap so I’m really happy and pleased for him today.”

Vettel will have to lose his nice side if he is to get back to winning form however it is nice to see the respect that the drivers have for each other.
