As the full list of selected compounds for the American Grand Prix was released by Twitter, it became clear that Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel will have a very aggressive approach next weekend, with the German bringer more ultrasofts than any of his competitors.
The teams can select between the soft, supersoft and ultrasoft compound in Austin, with the latter being the softest option and thus the fastest. Looking at the list of what tyres each driver will be bringing, it became clear that Vettel clearly has an aggressive gameplan in the United States as he knows it can be the weekend where Lewis Hamilton seals his championship.
The German will bring eight sets of ultrasofts to the land of opportunity, which is one set more than either Mercedes or his teammate Kimi Raikkonen. The Red Bulls even opted for one less than that, with the Austrian team only bringing six sets for each car.
Looking further down the list, McLaren have once again opted for the most conservative approach, as the Woking-based team will bring double the amount of soft tyres than the rest of the grid, and less ultrasofts than any other team. Just five sets of the purple compound for the papaya-orange cars, while three other teams have as much as nine sets of the ultra's.
