Max Verstappen's car underwent a legality check following the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah two weeks ago. The RB21 was randomly selected in accordance with FIA protocol, which mandates that one of the top ten finishers is subjected to an additional inspection to check if everything on the car is according to the technical regulations.

Everything was in perfect order

Verstappen's car was thoroughly inspected, with particular attention given to the air intake system, oil system, and various cooling components. The FIA also examined the sensors connected to the SECU — the standard electronic control unit that gathers data from across the car. After completing the checks, the FIA found no irregularities and confirmed that the RB21 complied with all regulations.

Max Verstappen finished second in Jeddah, behind race winner Oscar Piastri. With this result, the Australian now leads the championship with 99 points. Verstappen, meanwhile, has closed the gap on Lando Norris and sits third in the standings with 87 points, just two behind the Briton who won last year's Miami Grand Prix.
In the Sunshine State, Verstappen will be aiming for his second win of the season. The Grand Prix, now in its fourth edition, has already seen the Dutchman triumph twice. Lando Norris won last year's race, which marked a turning point as McLaren began to challenge Red Bull's dominance.
