Max Verstappen was the fastest man today, in both the first and second free practice. This despite the slippery track, where the new surface meant there was extremely little grip. Anyone who paid attention may have noticed that there was something different about Max Verstappen's car.
With the end of the season coming up, drivers are regularly driving with new parts in the practice sessions, to test them for next year. Like Max Verstappen, who drove with a new nose in Istanbul Park. The difference, however, was in the details.

Spot the differences

The new nose hardly seems to deviate from the old one, except for some minor adjustments. For example, two horizontal slots have appeared in the 'shovel' under the nose. Probably this adjustment serves to improve the airflow because the pressure at the top and bottom can be regulated.
