Max Verstappen has said that before he and his teammate
Daniel Ricciardo spoke to each other before getting a talking-to by the FIA and their own bosses Christian Horner and Dr Helmut Marko.
The two were battling all race long, and there already were a few instances where it could've gone wrong. In lap 40, it did go wrong, as Ricciardo tried to make a move on a swerving Verstappen, only to end up hitting the Dutchman in the back of his car, ending both of their races.
The two immediately went to each other after the race to discuss what had happened,
"We can still stand each other, this changes nothing about that," Verstappen told Motorsport.com.
"Of course you shouldn't hit each other, but that can happen when you fight for every inch.
"We're honest enough to see that it doesn't matter whose fault it was, as the team is the victim of the situation.
"We immediately spoke after the race and agreed that we wouldn't be blaming anyone."
Like little boys who have done something wrong, the team ordered the two drivers to apologize to all the crew for their actions.
