'Verstappen's uncompromising driving style is comparable to Schumacher'

Karun Chandhok has made a list for Sky Sports of the top ten Formula 1 drivers of the past season. Chandhok admits it was tougher than other years, but of course Max verstappen is number one.
Verstappen is at the top of the former Formula 1 driver's list. The Dutchman has finished either first or second in every race he has finished. That remarkable performance has not gone unnoticed and that is why, according to the pundit, he deserves the first spot: "That is a remarkable record of consistently superb performances, especially when you consider that this was a 24-year-old coping with the pressure of his first World Championship battle."
The highlight of his season was Zandvoort where he was the star of the show. The whole crowd cheered for him, but even with that pressure the 24-year-old driver coped well: "His phenomenal ability to soak up pressure at such a young age reminds me of MotoGP ace Marc Marquez." The only mistake the driver made was during qualifying in Jeddah, but " he has an uncompromising style of racing like Michael Schumacher used to."

Lewis Hamilton in spot two

Below the Red Bull Racing driver is Hamilton. Both drivers have had great performances, yet the seven-time world champion made mistakes. The current world champion deserves the number one position more, as he probably would have passed the Briton on the last lap anyway. "Back in 2008, Lewis got lucky in Brazil with a late rain shower to win the title. This time, luck went against him."

Still, the former Formula E driver closed with a positive word about both, as the performances of both Verstappen and Hamilton were brilliant. Chandhok is already eager to see the rivalry again in 2022 and he's probably not the only one.
