Max Verstappen claims that banning Mercedes so-called ‘party mode’ would be unfair to the silver arrows.
Verstappen's boss, Horner, suggested that engines should be more equal and whilst Max agreed with him, he insisted it wouldn’t be right to punish Mercedes for doing a better job.
“One must be honest and understand that Mercedes did the job better than everyone else,” said Max.
“Why should they lose their advantage? That would not be fair.
"But it should not be banned now, just because Mercedes is so competitive.”
