Verstappen happy to let Mercedes party

Max Verstappen claims that banning Mercedes so-called ‘party mode’ would be unfair to the silver arrows.

Verstappen's boss, Horner, suggested that engines should be more equal and whilst Max agreed with him, he insisted it wouldn’t be right to punish Mercedes for doing a better job.

“One must be honest and understand that Mercedes did the job better than everyone else,” said Max.

Is Max eyeing up a future move and doesn’t want to upset the Mercedes garage, or does he genuinely believe what he said?
