Max Verstappen has currently won more than half of all races since the start of 2021. Of the 31 races, the reigning world champion has won 16 and finished on the podium no less than 25 times. The Red Bull Racing driver is keen to continue that streak at the upcoming Formula One weekend at Silverstone.
He will have few fond memories of the previous edition of the British Grand Prix, but nonetheless Verstappen is looking forward to returning to Silverstone. "It's a real classic and historic race on the calendar," the championship leader explained in a Red Bull Racing press release.

Verstappen looks forward to Silverstone

The proximity of the circuit to Red Bull's factory in Milton Keynes is an advantage for Verstappen, but he is also looking forward to the atmosphere at the event. " There are so many amazing fans there," continued the Dutchman, who is delighted to return to a traditional circuit after a number of street races.
Who has the best shot at victory at Silverstone is anything but certain, with many teams planning an update package. "Performance this weekend will depend on whether we find a good balance and we also need a good tyre strategy, because the degradation will be high," concludes Verstappen. A trouble-free weekend is therefore a requirement, as the Red Bull driver expects it 'won’t be smooth sailing'.
