Engine supplier Honda announced last season that it was entering its final year in Formula 1. Red Bull Racing seemed to be standing on its own two feet, but the cooperation between Honda and the racing team is still going on, which makes Max Verstappen very happy.
Honda was not particularly successful in Formula 1 until its partnership with Red Bull. Nevertheless, Red Bull decided to go with the engine supplier. It resulted in a slow build-up to the top of the rankings. Last season it even allowed Verstappen to fight for the world title and eventually win it.

Verstappen satisfied with cooperation with Honda

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix seemed to be the last race for Honda. Nevertheless, the Japanese decided to continue to provide Red Bull with help and advice behind the scenes, so little has changed internally at the Austrian racing stable. Verstappen explained during the FIA press moment.
"They might be a little less visible but at the end of the day not a lot has changed luckily," Verstappen said. "I am just looking forward to starting the season where we left off, but of course trying to become better. They are still with us so that’s good."
