FP2 at the British Grand Prix is turning out to be a tough session for Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing. Meanwhile, their sister team, the Racing Bulls, are putting in an unexpectedly strong performance.
Red Bull arrived at Silverstone with a package of updates ahead of the weekend, but so far, they don’t appear to be delivering the desired results. Earlier in the session, Verstappen reported high tyre degradation and has been unable to match the pace of the front-runners.
While McLaren, Ferrari, and Mercedes are consistently pumping out fast laps, Verstappen is currently stuck in fifth place. Yuki Tsunoda, by contrast, finds himself down in fifteenth.
