Frederic Vasseur, like the rest of the Ferrari camp, is not happy with Charles Leclerc's result. Yet he isn't blamed strongly. Leclerc's mistake made is contrasted with Carlos Sainz's good result. Vasseur also thinks these mistakes should not be weighed heavily.
The Monegasque didn't really adjust his driving style. "Charles was also very quick. He was pushing hard as always in the final phase and unfortunately, he hit the wall. However, when you are chasing pole, mistakes can happen." Vasseur said in Ferrari's press release. Leclerc indicated earlier that he finds the mistakes made unacceptable.
The Ferrari driver will start in seventh place for now. Vasseur expects an exciting race on Sunday. "The top ten on the grid is certainly unusual, with some of the expected front runners further back, so it looks like being an interesting race tomorrow. Then there are the usual scenarios that can arise when racing between the walls, plus there’s a chance of rain tomorrow, which could shake things up as well."
