Yuki Tsunoda is looking forward to starting the new season. Speaking to
the official website of AlphaTauri the Japanese driver says he is looking forward to working with
Nyck de Vries, who is preparing for his first season in
Formula 1, among other things.
AlphaTauri on Saturday night showed what the new car will look like. De Vries and Tsunoda were also present to attend the presentation. According to Tsunoda, both drivers already have a good relationship with each other and it will only get stronger next season.
"We already have a good relationship, and we will build more on that now as teammates this season," Tsunoda said. "I think together we make a strong pairing, with the aim of helping the team progress this year. I also believe I can learn things from Nyck."
Tsunoda confident in sprint races
On his own performance, Tsunoda is clear: he needs to do better in his third season in
Formula 1. While on the one hand he wants to become more consistent with his results, he also thinks it is important to be more relaxed during the six Grands Prix with sprint races.
"I am confident I can perform well straightaway from Free Practice 1 and get into a rhythm. I know how to deal with this format. I will feel less rushed and therefore I can be more in control and perform better than last year."
