Toto Wolff will not attend this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, the first time he has missed a Grand Prix since 2013. Wolff says that now Mercedes have won both titles, he has more time to focus on commitments in Europe, with preparations for next season beginning along with the start of Mercedes' Formula E programme this month.
The Mercedes team principal has been a constant presence in the garage since the German team began dominating the sport back in 2014, overseeing the team winning a record breaking six drivers' and constructors' titles in a row.
Wolff said: "Brazil will be the first race since 2013 that I won't attend.
"With both championships secured, it gives me more time in Europe to focus on other open topics.
"It's great to be able to do this and to know that the team will represent the three-pointed star in the best way possible both on and off the track."
