Stroll: "Big Issues" Caused to Focus on Survival Rather Than Racing

Lance Stroll has admitted that his FW41 still has a lot of issues and that his main focus in Australia was to keep his Williams on the track.

The Canadian was quickly overtaken by Force India's Esteban Ocon at the start and was overtaken later by Sauber's rookie Charles Leclerc. Stroll finished fourteenth, with only Brendon Hartley behind him.

“We were in the wrong mode on the first lap and that is the reason Ocon got me,” said Stroll. “We also have none of the extra power we need for the safety car restart which is where I lost the place to Leclerc."
