Steiner enjoyed the fight between Verstappen and Schumacher

Mick Schumacher finished eighth at the British Grand Prix last weekend, scoring his first ever point in Formula 1. Afterwards, the main topic of discussion was his battle with Max Verstappen for P7.
The Dutchman was in the lead in the early stages of the race, but problems with his car caused him to fall back a little. Verstappen continued to fight hard, however, and managed to finish seventh. Schumacher, however, would have come close to finishing in that position.

Steiner proud of Schumacher's performance

The driver started the race from nineteenth position and fought his way through the race. Just before the end, he had Verstappen right in front of him and had the opportunity to pass the reigning world champion. However, this proved to be too much for Schumacher, which Guenther Steiner can well imagine.
"I’m pretty happy with a solid P8 and I’m not upset that we didn’t achieve seventh," the team boss told in the press release of the American racing team. "Mick fought for it, but he fought one of the best, if not the best for that position. In the end he brought home P8 and his first points, which is very good."
