Sergey Sirotkin says it is “impossible” to keep up with the midfield pace in the Williams car. Sirotkin is one of only two drivers to remain pointless in the 2018 season.
The Russian had a brilliant start to the race making his way up to 13th prior to the Safety car coming out. But as soon as it went in, the Williams just fell away.
“It was a difficult race,” Sirotkin said in an interview on Motorsport week. “The start was particularly tough in the beginning with the prime tyres compared to the much softer compounds of everyone else.
“With the safety car and an extremely poor warmup with the harder compound of tyre, it was impossible to keep up with the pace.”
Williams remain bottom of the constructors' championship and require another one of their comebacks.

“We know we are not where we need to be and we have a lot of work to do. We are working very hard behind the scenes and intend to come back stronger as soon as we can,” added technical director Paddy Lowe.
