Silverstone could be in line to host in-season F1 testing in 2020 after uncertainty over next year's Spanish Grand Prix.
However, there are still doubts over the British Grand Prix, but it is more likely the race in Barcelona will make way, meaning that in-season testing will have to be moved.
The pre-season testing will continue at the Circuit de Catalunya regardless of the Spanish GP's future and Bahrain will hold the first in-season test following the race there.
Requirements for an in-season test to replace Spain are: A European venue, before the summer break and not the first of a back-to-back series of races. Silverstone would fit all of those conditions, although Pirelli may be wary of the unpredictable weather in Britain.
Stuart Pringle, Silverstone Circuit director told Motorsport.com: "I haven't heard of a test yet, but we would like to organize it.

"They will certainly not come here to test if we do not have a contract and that is still the case."
