Sergio Perez "looked elsewhere" before deciding to stay at Racing Point

Sergio Perez has revealed that he has received offers from other Formula 1 teams and that he had looked at moving teams before deciding to stay with Racing Point. The Mexican driver has driven for a few teams but is hopeful of helping get Racing Point higher up the grid in years to come.

“To be honest, yeah (I’ve looked elsewhere)," Perez said to Racer.com. "During the last couple of years I’ve always done single-year contracts, and thankfully there have always been opportunities here and there.

Perez will hope that Racing Point becomes more competitive and that he can lead the team to success in the future.
