Sergey Sirotkin has confirmed he won't race in Formula 1 next season following Robert Kubica's announcement. He posted the picture and quotes himself on his own Instagram account almost immediately after Kubica's announcement. The Russian has scored just one point in 20 races this year and leaves after just one season in the sport. It's unclear what he will do next year.
Sirotkin believes he and the team did a good job with the resources they had to deal with.
"It was very long and tough year, not everything went as I wanted it to be, but I kept working and gave all my energy and all my heart to achieve what I feel we deserved to and if I am honest, I do believe we did a very reasonable job in current situation we found ourselves this year," Sirotkin said.

"Thanks everyone for your support, for your trust and warm words, thanks for all the support I got during the Russian GP in Sochi which did seriously touch me a lot!"
