Sebastian Vettel believes that Mercedes are a team that are close to perfection. The German team picked up their sixth successive constructor's championship at the Japanese Grand Prix last weekend. The Ferrari driver has improved throughout the season but Mercedes have been on a different level.
"Obviously you can't see what they are doing from the outside, but I think they are very close to perfection every time they go out on track. Very consistent, very little mistakes," said Vettel to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Mercedes have shown that you can do better and they've been able to maintain that."
Ferrari have progressed throughout the season but Mercedes were so dominant at the start of the year and this is where the championship was won. Vettel believes that his team are not far off the pace.
"It's not one thing that we need to improve, it's a lot of small things, every single one of us. That's the only way that we can try and step up."

Ferrari will hope that they can start the 2020 season the way they are finishing this one and try and end the Mercedes era of dominance.
