Schumacher demands clarification now that Verstappen has not received punishment

Mick Schumacher hopes to get clarity on the rules for overtaking this weekend. The German was surprised that Max Verstappen did not receive a penalty for the duel in Britain, as he believes the rules say otherwise.

In the final laps of the British Grand Prix, Schumacher chased down Verstappen's seventh place. The Dutchman fought tooth and nail to defend his seventh place with a damaged car. Schumacher tried everything, but was pushed off the track again and again. Was this hard racing or did it go too far?

Schumacher thinks the latter. In conversation with The Race the German says he wants clarification from the race committee this weekend. ''From my understanding, the rules changed the beginning of this year, where once cars were next to each other, you had to leave the space. Which in this case, wasn’t the case. So it’s something to talk about," says Michael Schumacher's son.

The Haas driver does not want to punish Verstappen, but wants more clarity for the future. ''So, the fact that there were no consequences for that, just means that obviously, the rules have changed again, and that if it happens, vice versa, then it should be ok,'' the young driver concludes.
