Carlos Sainz has responded to the growing claim that the Scuderia Ferrari team misses him.
“I can't tell you how things are going professionally or if they miss me.”

Speaking via outlet Marca, the Spaniard, who left the Italian outfit for Williams Racing, opted for a diplomatic response to such claims, reiterating that he is no longer involved in Ferrari’s day-to-day operations.
“I don't think I can answer that question. I'm no longer there on a day-to-day basis, so I can't tell you how things are going professionally or if they miss me,” Sainz said.
However, the four-time Grand Prix winner expressed hope that he left a positive mark on the team and its fans during his four seasons in Maranello.

“On a more personal level, I'd like to think I left a good impression on my colleagues and the Tifosi. It was a very intense four years, and I made some great friends and colleagues there. But, I repeat, you'd have to ask them that,” he concluded.
Talks about the Ferrari team missing Sainz have particularly gained traction with the growing struggles the team experienced throughout the 2025 campaign. In contrast, Sainz was able to bag two Grand Prix and a sprint podium finish with the Williams outfit, which he joined after his exit from Ferrari.

Arrivabene confident in Ferrari’s resurgence

The 68-year-old highlighted the need for the current drivers to have a competitive car, before tipping Charles Leclerc for a future Drivers’ title.
