Sainz shares holiday snap with world champion as 2026 F1 season approaches

The Spanish driver, who impressed in his debut year with Williams, joined the Slovenian star for a ride alongside Giulio Ciccone, British cyclist Michael Matthews, and several others.

In a post shared on Instagram, the 31-year-old posed for a group photo as the riders prepared to hit the road on their bikes.

Pogacar has enjoyed a historic year of his own, becoming the only rider in history to take the Triple Crown and two Monuments in the same season.

The 27-year-old also became the first male cyclist to win both the Tour de France and the UCI Road World Championship Road Race in two successive years – 2024 and 2025.

Ahead of the upcoming 2026 season, Sainz has continued to relish his time away from the track, and recently, he also shared snapshots of his holiday outing in Mexico City.

Earlier, Sainz penned a touching message to his father, Carlos Sainz Sr., ahead of his 2025 Dakar Rally campaign.

The former Ferrari driver took to social media to share words of encouragement ahead of the dirt race festival.

Sainz Sr., who has become a renowned name in the Dakar Rally world, last claimed the Cars title in 2024 while racing for the Red Bull Ford team. The veteran rally driver is aiming for a repeat of similar success in his 2026 endeavours in Saudi Arabia.
