Russell thinks Jamie Chadwick should get a chance in an F1 car

George Russell believes Jamie Chadwick should be given the chance to prove herself in a Formula 1 car. She became W Series champion in 2019, 2021 and 2022 and belongs to the Williams Driver Academy, but has not yet managed to advance.

Chadwick to F1?

Speaking to Sky Sports, Russell indicated that he believes Chadwick should be given a chance to step into an F1 car. However, Chadwick previously expressed doubts about this possibility and seems to be focusing on a move to the IndyCar or Indy Lights classes.
Russell is happy to be back at the Circuit of the Americas, although he keeps the bumpy nature of the track in the back of his mind. "It's a bit of a bumpy ride or was a bumpy ride," he said in the press conference on Sky Sports ahead of the US Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver hopes the new tarmac will make the circuit less bumpy, but the problem has so far always returned at COTA. "Its a spectacular circuit with the undulations. Last year it was so bumpy and this year they've resurfaced it. It's one of the best races from a fan's perspective."
