At the Hungarian Grand Prix, the McLaren driver could quite comfortably secure another one-two finish. Far ahead of their rivals, Lando Norris crossed the finish line ahead of Oscar Piastri. George Russell tackled not being able to fight for the victory in an ironic way.
During the final Grand Prix ahead of the summer break, it was George Russell who could claim the final position on the podium behind the McLaren teammates.
The Mercedes driver crossed the finish line 21 seconds after the Woking-based team's cars.

Russell joined in with similar verdict

So far in the current campaign, Russell only won a single Grand Prix, back in Montreal.
At the Hungaroring, the British driver was asked on Viaplay about whether his car is capable of winning the Grand Prix.
"You want the honest answer, or the answer the viewer's want to hear?" he began.
Afterwards, he said ironically: "I'm not an honest guy, so yes, it does [give me the chance to win]!"
Not only did Russell said similar verdicts over the weekend. On Saturday, Max Verstappen told GPblog among others that he doesn't expect to win under normal circumstances over the second half of the season. "No. Not at the moment, no. Well, that's the way it is, isn't it? It is quite clear."
On Sunday, after missing out on the podium after starting from pole position, Leclerc echoed a similar message.
