The FIA is going to help teams get rid of 'porpoising.' Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing is against the intervention of the umbrella sports federation, but George Russell points the Dutchman in the right direction.
The Mercedes driver was critical of Verstappen during the press conference prior to the Canadian Grand Prix. Among others, he and his teammate Lewis Hamilton have suffered greatly from the bumpiness of the new F1 cars in recent races. It was Carlos Sainz who called on the FIA to take action. For several drivers, the bumpiness even results in severe back pain.

Russell critical of Verstappen

Verstappen is critical of the help some teams are now getting from the FIA, as his RB18 is suffering very little from the bumpiness. According to Russell, Verstappen thus prefers performance to health. Against among others Formule1.nl the Brit says: "He too thought at the beginning of the season that the cars were bouncing too much, but his car is fast so he has now changed his mind."
