Mercedes driver George Russell is currently fifth in the Formula 1 world championship. He is behind his teammate Lewis Hamilton in the standings. Mercedes ' car has had some modifications in Monaco and in Spain. The question is whether the W14 is competitive enough to compete with Red Bull Racing.
"You first see the problems when you look at the lap times. You drive around the track, the car can sometimes feel great, but the lap times aren't representing the feeling, and vice versa," Russell told a press briefing in Spain where GPblog was also present.

"I'm sure even for championship-winning cars, they may not also feel perfect, but just driving around at a slightly higher pace", Russell continued.
Mercedes seems to be playing some serious catch-up. The team currently holds the second position in the constructors' championship. Next weekend, we will see if Russell and Hamilton get back in the points, or maybe even on the podium.
