Former team principal Ross Brawn believes "determined" Lewis Hamilton will 'deliver' at Ferrari despite a challenging maiden season. "There’s no reason why he won’t [deliver]."
- Ross BrawnThe seven-time world champion made the seismic move from Mercedes to Ferrari after 12 seasons at the German team, winning six of his world titles across that span in one of the greatest driver and team partnerships ever seen.
Brawn was an instrumental figure in bringing Hamilton over from McLaren to Mercedes for the 2013 season, persuading the Brit to join a year before the rule changes in 2014 saw Mercedes become a dominant force.
However, the move to the Scuderia has not panned out in Hamilton's debut year, with the Brit currently sitting on 152 points with just two Grands Prix remaining and without a Grand Prix podium in 22 race weekends, unable to build on a sprint race win at the Chinese Grand Prix earlier in the year.

But Brawn, who spent ten years at Ferrari and guided them to several world championships in the 2000s, believes the 40-year-old will fight through his first-season struggles.
“Lewis is a pretty determined character and has shown resilience in the past, so there’s no reason why he won’t [deliver]," Brawn stated in conversation with Formula1.com.
“I just hope that Ferrari get it right with the new rules.”
Hamilton's 2025 spiralling downwards
A dismal qualifying performance at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which saw Hamilton finish P20, brought a new low to his 2025 campaign,
with the Brit calling the session in Sin City "useless".
After he fought back in Sunday's race to finish P10,
promoted to P8 after McLaren's double disqualification, Hamilton also cut a despondent figure when asked about next season, saying there is little confidence about 2026.
That led to questions about the 40-year-old's future in
Formula 1, and former Haas team boss Guenther Steiner
stated that "a lift" will be needed for Hamilton next year if he is to continue in
F1.
