Rosberg's prediction will be hard to take for Vettel fans

Former Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg believes that Sebastian Vettel's chances of winning this year's drivers championship are over. The Ferrari driver is third in the championship, 76 points behind the leader, Lewis Hamilton and is yet to win a race this season. Rosberg believes the only person who can challenge Hamilton is his teammate Valtteri Bottas but is confident that Hamilton will win his sixth championship this year.

“For me, Vettel has no more chance in the drivers' championship,” Rosberg said on his YouTube channel. “The only one who has a small chance is Bottas and we all know that’s going to be a struggle.”

Ferrari has been largely disappointing so far this season and have struggled to unlock their car and compete against Mercedes. However, Hamilton has really impressed and his former teammate is backing him to win again this year.

“Lewis has the best chances to seal that sixth drivers' championship which would be insane," Rosberg said.

It seems that Hamilton will ease his way to another World Championship this year whilst talk has already moved to rule changes for future years in an attempt to create competition.
