Following yet another disappointing weekend, Daniel Ricciardo has admitted part of the problem is him adapting to the Renault car as the Australian is yet to finish a race this season.
Ricciardo moved to Renault after turning down a new contract at Red Bull with Pierre Gasly replacing him at last season’s third-place team. He has since failed to finish at the Australian Grand Prix with the Renault car struggling for pace and both cars went out on the same lap in Bahrain.
Speaking to Sky Sports F1 Ricciardo admitted the team are still trying to work out what is going wrong.
“The weekend was a struggle, just quite a long way off the pace and trying to understand why.
"For sure some is in me learning the best way to drive the car

"But also a few set-up things and trying to work out what works best for me to build my confidence in this car.
Ricciardo also added that he feels he may still be harbouring some of his old Red Bull habits saying: “I don't want to say I'm stuck in my old ways with the Red Bull but for sure this car needs to be tamed a little bit differently.”
