Just like his teammate Max Verstappen, whom Daniel Ricciardo collided with, the Aussie feels bad for the team more than anything, as the battle between him and his teammate eventually ended in tears (and a crash).
Ricciardo didn't want to talk at length about what happened during the crash, but he did state the following;
"I thought I saw a gap on the inside," he said, "and I just chose to go for that gap."
The Aussie is known for his aggressive style of driving, which can at times lead to clashes like this one. Many people think that Verstappen was reckless with his defensive lines, but Ricciardo had no comment on that.
Verstappen had already stated that it doesn't matter who's at fault as the team suffered the most from the crash, and Ricciardo seems to agree.

"I feel very bad about it.
"The team is absolutely gutted about all this."
