The first free practice session of the first race weekend of 2023 is over! In Bahrain, Formula 1 cars took to the track to prepare for the first Grand Prix of this season. Check out the full results of the practice session below.

Sergio Perez set the fastest time in the first practice session, behind him Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen. Lance Stroll managed to set a handsome sixth time. An injury in a bike accident prevented the Canadian from taking part in the test days a week earlier, so this was his first time on the track this season. The times from this first session are just a small preview: the really fast times will only come at the second free practice. That practice will probably give a better idea of what the outcome of qualifying will be.
