Renault still not sure of P4 despite "small cushion" after Singapore

Renault have done excellent business in Singapore last weekend, as both drivers ended within the points and rival team Haas didn't score any, making the gap between the two teams 15 points now.
Carlos Sainz Junior finished eighth, scoring four points, and Nico Hülkenberg finished in P10, which earned the German a single point. Still, with Haas finishing in P15 and P18, the weekend should be seen as a victory.
"That's a small cushion," Renault's team principal Cyril Abiteboul told Formel1 after the race, referring to the 15-point gap between the French team and Haas.
"Let's just say that, but stay focused because we know it's going to be an intense fight with a number of teams.
"On the whole, it's positive, but there's still a lot of work ahead of us to be at the level where we want to be in the future."

As a works team, Renault will be favourites to retain their fourth position over Haas, a team which has only existed for a few years. Still, with the more powerful Ferrari engine in the back, the American team could be able to put a good run together in the last six races of the season.
