With 5 minutes remaining on the clock, a red flag was triggered due to a rather strange incident involving Alexander Albon's Williams.

The Thai driver was making his way down the back straight at full speed with the DRS open, when the engine cover on hif FW47 seemed to have exploted in an expensive show of confetti-like carbon fiber.
The Stewards then announced that he was under investigation for not heeding the Stewards' instructions regarding the actions to take when going off road at the final corner.
Albon, instead of keeping to the run-off and rejoining via the appropriate escape road, he skipped over the kerb and rejoined the track.
