Red Bull Racing is obviously delighted with another victory for Max Verstappen, but the Austrian racing team is not happy with the way this year's Italian Grand Prix ended. Verstappen crossed the finish line behind the safety car after 53 laps and, according to Christian Horner, none of this would have been possible.
""We don't want to win a race under a safety car," Horner is honest in front of the Sky Sports cameras. The Red Bull team boss says it has been discussed with the FIA and the teams in the past that it is not desirable to finish behind the safety car. Yet it did happen at Monza. "That's something we've talked about. We should finish racing. There was enough time to get racing."
Horner continued by saying he could understand the boos from the Italian fans in the stands. Leclerc was left with no chance to overtake Verstappen as a result. "We want to win the race on the track, we share the frustration with the fans because it would've been a grandstand finish," he said.

Criticism from Red Bull too

Where Ferrari will undoubtedly be critical of the way things have gone, at Red Bull they are also dissatisfied. "There was enough time to get racing. They picked up the wrong car, George Russell. I think they have more than enough time to get that going. They picked up the wrong car. We need to go through the details, for me there was more than enough time to get that going again," Horner concluded.
