Racing Point have received an official warning from the FIA for violating the Covid Code of Conduct. Lance Stroll tested positive for coronavirus at the end of the Eifel Grand Prix, but his team did not immediately report this to the FIA.

Stroll showed symptoms in Germany, and was replaced by Nico Hulkenberg, but was not tested in Germany, reports Racer.com. The Canadian driver went to his home in Switzerland and had himself tested on Sunday evening. On Monday he was found to be infected with Covid-19. According to the regulations, a positive test must be reported immediately to the FIA if the infected person has been at a Formula 1 event in the past fourteen days, but Racing Point only did this after a week.
Warning
Racing Point have been given an official warning, despite the fact that the Covid code of conduct has not been complied with. Incidentally, this is not the first time that the FIA has issued a warning for breaking the regulations. Charles Leclerc left Austria to return home between the first two races of the season and did not abide by the code, while Ferrari and Red Bull also received warnings when Christian Horner, Helmut Marko and Sebastian Vettel spoke in the paddock without a mouthpiece.
