The provisional starting lineup for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has been released. After a stunning qualifying lap, Max Verstappen will start the race on pole, with Oscar Piastri just +0.010 behind him in second place. Lando Norris will start down in 10th place after crashing out of his first Q3 lap.
It was an exciting session with tight margins separating the cars in every part of qualifying. One of the most challenging circuits on the Formula 1 calendar tested all 20 drivers under the bright floodlights.
Q3 was electrified immediately as Lando Norris crashed in the first few minutes of the session. After the resumption, Max Verstappen managed a time good enough for pole. The British driver was distraught after his crash. You can read his reaction from the paddock below.
