Provisional 2023 F1 calendar shows some notable changes

While the 2022 Formula One season is still in full swing, the calendar for the 2023 season is said to be ready and has been sent to the FIA World Motor Sport Council for approval.

A provisional version of the F1 calendar is ready, but still needs to be approved by the WMSC. This reports F1-Insider.com that is said to have insight in the dates. Besides the new date of the Dutch GP, also the reports about the Belgian Grand Prix seem to be correct, which would be scheduled for 23 July 2023.

The calendar has a record number of 24 races and the season kicks off in Bahrain, before moving on to Saudi Arabia, Australia and (possibly) China. The latter, however, remains a major uncertainty given the COVID-19 situation in the country. As expected, the Grands Prix of France and South Africa are missing. Furthermore, there are some minor shifts: the race in Baku has been brought forward and the races in Austin, Mexico and Brazil are combined into a triple-header.
