Former Ferrari man Alain Prost says that the team may find themselves some trouble next season with the pairing of Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel set to battle it out for dominance at the team. Leclerc currently leads his more experienced teammate and Prost believes there could be issues next season, especially if the team are in contention for the championship.
Prost is of course, no stranger to feuds with teammates, having been part of one of the sport's most bitter rivalries with Ayrton Senna around 30 years ago.
Rivalries between teammates often come with a battle for titles and the Frenchman fears the battle could escalate if Ferrari are to have a good season in 2020.
He told AFP news agency: “It will be difficult for Ferrari to avoid conflicts between Vettel and Leclerc next year.
“The only way out is to give them the opportunity to fight amongst themselves. Then, if one driver has a problem and his teammate wins a couple of races, there will come a moment when a change of approach is needed.”
