Red Bull Racing driver Pierre Gasly has been penalised by three places by the stewards in Monaco for blocking off Romain Grosjean during qualifying on Saturday, after Antonio Giovinazzi received the same punishment earlier for doing the same.
Gasly originally qualified in fifth place for the Bulls but will now drop to eighth, moving Kevin Magnussen, Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat up a place.
During Q2, when Grosjean was eliminated, he was severely impeded by the slow Gasly on his flying lap, which probably cost him from getting into Q3 like teammate Magnussen.
Giovinazzi was met by the same fate earlier, as the Italian blocked off Nico Hülkenberg in Q1 in the run-up to Rascasse.
