Perez plans to follow Norris' project as Mexican's team is also in the works

Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, Norris announced his new team, LN4 Fusion, with the goal of helping young talents reach Formula 1. The team will compete in Formula 3 next year and intends to enter Formula 2 as well after acquiring selected assets from AIX Racing.

Perez himself is also working on a team, he told GPblog, among others, in Monza. "I think it's really nice, what Lando has done. Really nice project as well. So well done to him, I think, from my side, yeah, at some point of my career that I would like to do something like that.

For now, the Mexican remained cryptic about who would join him on his journey. "I wouldn't like to share them with you," he smiled.

Perez knows how hard it can be to reach F1. "Without Carlos [Slim], I wouldn't be here. Simple as that. I was very lucky to have got his attention, his support. And, I mean, for me, at that time, it was already very, very hard to find the support. Now, the sport is more much more popular.

Perez's team, however, will not focus only on Mexican talents. "Worldwide. We're going to be focusing on youngsters mainly. But, yes, it's coming soon. We just want to be specific and very selective, but, yeah, we would like to use all of our experience."

He concluded jokingly: "You know, [youngsters] from [age] 10 to thirties. In that range."
