Lewis Hamilton made one of Formula 1’s most iconic entrances at Ferrari’s home Italian Grand Prix.
The seven-time champion has arrived at Monza for the 20th time for the start of the weekend’s action, but this is his second in red.
A champion with Mercedes and McLaren, Hamilton switched to the Scuderia last year in one of the sport’s biggest-ever driver moves, and it now appears it was all building up to this moment.
Ferrari finally have a car capable of delivering wins for the 41-year-old, so he made sure to provide them with some huge PR in return.

Hamilton arrives at Monza in his dream Ferrari F40

Hamilton arrived at the circuit in his new Ferrari F40, sporting a similar outfit to his first day as an official employee for the team.
His switch was announced in early 2024, but it wasn’t until January 20 the following year that he arrived for work in Fiorano and broke the F1 internet with an iconic picture in front of Enzo Ferrari’s office.
Hamilton was wearing a vintage suit and tie with a Ferragamo coat, Ferrari shirt and Louboutin boots, and recreated a similar look for his Monza return with a brown coat and Kangol hat.

He also posed in front of an F40 on that occasion, but this time around it was his own.

Hamilton revealed he’d bought the car before the Monza event after it underwent a restoration, having spent more than 30 years sitting in a garage.
He wrote on social media: “My very own F40. This is the car of my dreams and has been for as long as I can remember.
“As a kid, I dreamt of having one. When I joined Ferrari last year, I made sure to have one with me on my first day at Maranello. That’s how much it means to me.

"First to Maranello, where the master engineers and mechanics at the factory worked for weeks to bring her back to life. Massive thank you to everyone who had a hand in this project.
