Sergio Perez is confident that he can join Max Verstappen in attacking the Ferraris when the lights go out for the Miami Grand Prix. Encouraged by the Mexican fans, he expresses his expectations for the race.
While being cheered on by his fans, many of whom have traveled to Miami, Perez expresses great confidence in his chances for the race. "We are definitely going for it, as always," he says in conversation with David Coulthard. "Hopefully it's going to work for us, but it's going to be a long race."

Perez is looking forward to it

Coulthard points out the need to be flexible with strategy, as no one has really done a long run and there is no data available from the brand new circuit. On that front, Perez therefore expects an unpredictable race.
Does he have the speed to win race? "We'll find out in a few hours, but hopefully," replied the Mexican, who will soon start from the second row alongside teammate Verstappen. From there, they will attack the Ferrari's of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
