Sergio Perez is more than happy with his P2 for the British Grand Prix. The Mexican managed to hold off Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in the closing stages of the race. However, the race was not a smooth one for Perez.
"It does feel amazing. It feels great. It was a good recovery for myself and the team. It’s been a weekend where I’ve maybe been 80% physically, I haven’t been at 100%. To get that P2 today, it’s a great day," Perez told Viaplay's camera.
Perez had to come in early for a pit stop after suffering damage to his front wing. This happened in a battle with Max Verstappen and Leclerc. However, the Red Bull driver was able to recover.

Perez still struggling with neck problems

"I have some neck issues that I was feeling quite bad. I was just happy that I managed to finish the race," the Mexican said. After his crash in Canada, Perez suffered an injury to his neck. So it appears he is not completely rid of the pain yet.
